Manual lymphatic drainage is a specialised form of massage therapy that aims to improve the flow of lymphatic fluid in the body, which can alleviate symptoms of lymphoedema - a condition where lymphatic fluid collects in certain areas due to ineffective drainage. Through massaging areas without swelling, space is created for fluid to flow to these parts from more congested areas.
